First Edition 2025
I've only encountered a single desert tortoise, a memorable moment. My dog, Scout, investigated while we respectfully waited for the tortoise to emerge from its shell and continue its journey through the boulders. These creatures are masters of disguise, their dusty shells blending seamlessly with the scree. I'm especially pleased with the colorization in this piece, capturing the imposing, fortress-like rock formations and the distinctive mackerel clouds.
